Cal.com integration

Book Cal.com meetings inside the chat.

A Denser AI chatbot answers visitors from your website and documents. When one wants to talk, it offers your open Cal.com times in the conversation, books the one they pick, and Cal.com sends the invite. Nobody leaves the page to find a booking link.

Paste a booking link. No API key, no code.

A visitor asks “Can I book a demo?” and the agent replies with a Pick a time card listing open slots for Tuesday, October 20. A visitor asks for a demo, and the chatbot offers open times from Cal.com.

Set it up

Three steps, about two minutes.

  1. 01

Add the Book in chat (Cal.com) action

Open your chatbot's Actions and click the Book in chat (Cal.com) template. Or ask Ask AI to set it up.

  2. 02

    Paste your Cal.com booking link

A personal link such as cal.com/yourname/30min, or a team link such as cal.com/team/acme/demo. The event type must be public. No API key is needed.

  3. 03

Pick the time zone and check the times

Set the time zone times are offered and booked in, then click Show open times. It lists the next open times exactly as the chatbot will offer them.

Every step, with screenshots, is in the Book a meeting guide.

In the conversation

It books like your booking page, without the detour.

Only times you're free
Open times come from your Cal.com calendar when the visitor asks, so a booked slot is never offered. Ask for “next Monday” and the chatbot looks up that day.
Books only the time they pick
The visitor taps a time in the chat. The chatbot books that time and no other.
Asks for a name and email once
And skips the question when the visitor already gave them in the chat or is on file as a lead.
Your Cal.com rules still apply
Minimum notice, buffers and limits on the event type work as they do on your booking page, and Cal.com sends the invite and reminders.

Qualify, then book

Book after the chatbot knows who's asking.

The Collect a lead and book a meeting playbook asks what the visitor would like to discuss, takes their details with your lead form, then offers a time. Turn it on from Templates or learn how playbooks work.

Collect a lead and book a meeting

The visitor wants a demo, a quote or to talk to sales, for example “can I see a demo?”.

  2. Do: Collect leads
  3. Do: Book in chat (Cal.com)

Questions

Do I need a Cal.com API key?+

No. Denser uses Cal.com's public booking API for the event type in your booking link, the same way your booking page does. The event type has to be public.

Which Cal.com links work?+

Booking links on cal.com: a personal event such as cal.com/yourname/30min, or a team event such as cal.com/team/acme/demo. Booking links on your own domain or on a self-hosted Cal.com aren't supported yet. Until then, the Cal.com link template shows any booking link as a button.

Who sends the calendar invite?+

Cal.com does, exactly as it would for a booking made on your booking page, with your event's own confirmation and reminder emails.

Can the chatbot qualify a visitor before booking?+

Yes. Put the booking in a playbook: the Collect a lead and book a meeting template asks what they'd like to discuss, takes their details with your lead form, then offers a time. The chatbot still answers questions from your knowledge base along the way.

Is it on the free plan?+

Yes. The free plan includes 1 action per chatbot, so booking in the chat works on it. Paid plans add more actions, cards and playbooks per chatbot.

What if I'd rather send people to my booking page?+

Use the Cal.com or Calendly link templates instead: the chatbot shows your booking link as a button when someone wants to talk to you.
